Mark grew up in West Gippsland where as free-ranging kids they roamed the countryside. His first exposure to democracy was to be elected as president of Warragul Technical School’s student council. He’s now a local primary school teacher and librarian.

Mark has lived in Moreland for 11 years after residing on the Merri Creek for 3 years. He is currently on the board at CERES, a sustainability icon globally and a jewel in Moreland’s crown.

As the Greens candidate in the North West ward he will work to give people a say through informed, consultative decision making. He hopes to make this great city even better, addressing concerns, building a sense of community and sharing ideas.

Moreland City provides a wide range of services, such as aged care, infant welfare, leisure and fitness centres, recycling services, foot and bike paths and much more. “I want to build on Council’s work and ensure we get good value for Moreland citizens,” Mark says.
