Blender 2.5, - Got flexible?
New Blender's event system is working like a charm, with realtime updates, and non-blocking tools.
Check this video to see how I can playback an animation, while modeling, tweaking the interface, materials, rendering, everything realtime.
Blender 2.5 is a development version, try it yourself by getting special builds compiled by the community at GraphicAll.org
Blender is an Open Source 3D Suite.
Check blender.org (the latest official release is 2.49, bit different than the version shown this video)

I have a question tho...
what do u use for video captures....??
thanks in advance
I use recordMydesktop por video capture
recordmydesktop.sourceforge.net
It saves it as ogg theora, then I encoded it into x264 using mencoder (mplayer).
cheers!

I mean this next version should be Blender 2.0 as what we usually mean by 2.0 !

Any news on BMesh being done in time for inclusion?
when's the release? bwahahaha! awesome GUI for awesome blender users!
thanks to the developers behind this awesome 3d software for the hard work!
I can't Wait
And I sniggered... I never snigger behind my pc.
and the ALT + A key is for playback, A for selecting/deselecing, while SHIFT + A always been the Add menu.
Is just added for debugging, you're not suppose to use this build anyway, devs are free to add the tools to whatever key they want, is just debugging now, it will be cleaned up for the official release..
geez..
I must be missing something.
-My Preview Renders NEVER look as good as the final.
-I can't get real time shading like everyone else (It's always bright and shadeless. :(
-And I can NEVER EVER get my settings to stick. It always returns to the default and my setting's Name is gone. :(
HELP!!!!!
How long you been playing with this build?
Your obviously well rounded with Blender in general.
Great demo!
I can only wish to be as skilled..
we gonna have a nive chrismas tris year...
how to get the UI "modifiable" in time ?
