lol this was fun. an ancient concept. I don't think the effect (edge blur) was needed though, the subject is interesting enough it really doesn't need visual enhancements., BTW NYers poop is not wasted at all -- a good amount of the sewer sludge here is converted to fertilizer (the plant is in the Bronx) and it is then shipped to Florida used to fertilize grapefruits trees and Orange trees etc.

Thanks. Yeah sometimes you lose perspective in the editing room. That final 6 minutes represents endless hours of editing soooo when you finally get to the color grading you are so ready to shake it up a bit.

Virginia talks about the sewage treatment in other bits that didn't make the cut. The problem with the sludge she says "is that much of it is mixed with toxins."

If memory serves me right...
The liner is part of the system -- the methane levels are even higher when the poo decomposes in the special made bag. I left that part on the cutting room floor. Virginia spoke for an hour about this system. I couldn't possibly include it all :)
