I attended a 4 week residency at I-Park in connecticut in august and september 2012, during my time there I created an instrument which I called the 'Fibonacci Tree', I placed 8 of the bridges at a distance of 1.2.3.5.8.13.21.34. inches apart based on the Fibonacci sequence defining the growth in nature. The oak limb was strung with piano wires and I played it with violin and cello bows, the instrument was connected to two piezo microphones at either end, this was in turn connected to a behringer 1002 fx mixing desk which on this video is set to a setting number 57 which is a delay effect. The film was filmed by Roman Moshensky who created his own film of the park which also featured me playing. My thanks to Roman for the film, I edited for this video.
