The news has arrived

one and the same,

as if it never left,

from eye to eye,

as if seeing is knowing

there is nothing to fear.

It is best to write about it

in disappearing ink.

The news is not

new, or even news,

as we knew it

before we forgot it,

and forget it now

as we try to remember

what it was we knew.

It is always best to write

with disappearing ink.

There are no reasons

to doubt oneself

that really matter.

It is best to get out

of the way of your

own becoming and learn

the way it is before it was,

and then write it all down

with disappearing ink.
