This video is a result of a pilot collaboration between Yungstarz, The Premises Studios, Balik Arts and SEEit Working Trust with support from Hackney Homes and Fellows Court Tenants’ & Residents’ Association (TRA), Lloyds TSB Foundation and the Home Office CAGGK Fund.
Yungstarz was founded in 2010 and established one year later. It consists of 5 young people, Dizz, Fizz, Joker, Titan, Sir Dark Night.
They are from the estates around Shoreditch. Yungstarz has taken part in a music project, which has included:
· Voice jam sessions for vocal technique and performance at The Premises Studios. The
young people wrote and recorded tracks and performed in Studio 1 in front of an invited
audience
· Balık Arts team led by filmmakers Mustafa Boga and Tugba Tirpan worked with the Yungstarz to create a
music video for their track “Party All Night”
· Further collaborations are now in development from this pilot initiative.
