Ten journalism students from the University of Illinois traveled to Romania this spring as foreign correspondents. Under the guidance of Journalism Professor Nancy Benson, the students explored the developing country, covering topics like the Romanian wine industry, the 'facelift' of the tourism industry, and emigration from Romania to more prosperous European Union countries. The students also stopped in Rome to document the lives and treatment of some of the 2 million Romanian immigrants living in Italy.
