So many good things here. It was great to hear a pastor say to parachurch orgs to work more closely to the church. That's one of the reasons I work with Fellowship International Mission. They get that missionaries are the extension of the local church and as such are under their headship for ministry. It's great to see that mindset breaking in again. When most churches are asked "What can FIM do for you?" it is a bit of a shock. Praise God for pastors and churches that are looking to get back to doing the work of missions instead of out-sourcing it. Still, with US and International legislation, cultural adaptation and all being what they are, it's good to have someone with experience helping along the way.
