Gilad Atzmon is one of London’s finest Jazz saxophonists and he is also of the world’s most outspoken critic of Zionism. Born secular of Jewish identity within Israel, Gilad served in the Israeli Defense Forces during the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon. This experience caused him to come to the belief that he “was part of a colonial state, the result of plundering and ethnic cleansing.” He left Israel and devoted his life to jazz and politics.
