Here is an example of mixing Transformation based movements with Deformation based movements.

Its a deforming cone that saw teeth are sliding along its surface. The way this was accomplished was to deform the curves that the teeth are constrained to so as it was deformed the path constraints would keep the teeth locked into place. Its also using weight containers for some weighting abstraction and reuse, as well as Order of Operations based deformations to twist then bend the cone.
