I recently had the opportunity to make a LensCoat lenscoat.com for the rarest of lenses. On hand to film this project was Juan Pons and Art Howard.
Art and Juan spent the day with my staff while we designed the LensCoats for this very unique lens.
This is one big lens, with a BIG price to match. The lens weighs in at 36.4 lbs, and measures 32.9 inches!
The price you ask? A measly $120,000. No typo there, yes, one hundred and twenty thousand dollars!
Where can you buy this most excellent piece of glass? The used equipment department at B&H Photo Video, where else?
This specific unit is rumored to have arrived at B&H from "some government agency."

NCFX 3 months agoGood lens, but any broadcast TV lens you see in every football match cost more than $120,000. So yes, it is expensive, but TV gear is much more expensive than that.
