This is the very first project by Groningen based arts duo DocterSterkenburg. Christiaan Docter is a filmcomposer and Jonathan Sterkenburg is a cinematographer. This very first project is a tribute to the city of Groningen, Netherlands.

We need to get 15000 views on this video to get our points for the current project at the Academy for Pop Culture (Leeuwarden)! We would be grateful forever if you embed this video to your site or blog, or share it with your friends. If you embed it, you can send us the link at info [at] doctersterkenburg.com and you will receive the newest EP by Christiaan Docter "Melancholy Morning" for free!

---

June 23, 2009: We made it! We got even more than we could ever have dreamed of: 50.000 views in just 5 days! (the number below doesn't include the embedded plays) We don't know exactly how many people embedded the video, cause the list has gotten too long, but we think between 300-400. Enormous thanks to all who helped us!

The EP action is being continued by the way. Just drop us the link in our mail.

love this stuff, i like pretty much the colors on this one, how you done this CC?
  • MUZIEKTELEVISIE plus 5 months ago
Thanks alot Pablo! I'm very glad Uruguay now knows how Groningen looks like ;-)

First, I filmed with an Infrared modded camera, which makes everything alot different already.

Then I made an individual preset for all shots in Magic Bullet Looks. Finally I finetuned with some hue and level correction with the fast color corrector inside Premiere.

Great Video! What did you use to get the split screens?
  • MUZIEKTELEVISIE plus 4 months ago
Hey Jeff, nothing fancy, the left screen on the lowest layer, the right on the second and cropped if necessary (raw footage is 16/9) and on the third track a photoshop layer.
