First test Movie with D90 + Nikon Ais 50mm f.1,4
i really like the shallow depth of field..:)
shaky can make a video with jello effect, used tripod is the best solution.

Just awesome and super chill video. I liked the framing and the blur efects.
I'd like to know if you had some problems with the heating of the sensor. I heard that you can't record for too much time on a roll...
    Congrats.
  • amankerstudio 6 months ago
i just use to record about a minute,
and maybe too much record in same time will be heat the sensor and the noise will seen

That camera would cause me so many focus issues without a big monitor to look at. but it gives some lovely shots!
  • amankerstudio 6 months ago
yes, but u can zoom in / expand focus in lcd, so we can look the focus correctly

Really nice vid, kudos on the smooth focusing. I recently bought a D90 but I haven't had time to test out the video capabilities. Obviously they're pretty good as long as you know how to use them. Glad you used the 50mm 1.4, thinking about getting one. Apparently good for blur effects in videos as you've shown.
  • amankerstudio 6 months ago
    thanks..:)
i like the dof is very shallow...

i still like D90's video better than 5DmkII's.
    it simply looks more film-ish.

    but i can't afford a D90, maybe just a D5000
  • amankerstudio 6 months ago
    thanks..:)
yes, D5000 is have a great flip lcd..:)
  •
  • this is a nice video of D90's capabilities. Film like look already.

How did you change focus? by manually adjusting the focus ring with your hand while the camera is on a tripod?
  • amankerstudio 6 months ago
    thanks.
yes, i adjust the focus ring while camera is on a tripod

nice, the D90's look awesome for upclose shots on a tripod/steadyhand... Love the DOF, good alternative to buying a 35mm adaptor for a camera...
  • amankerstudio 6 months ago
    agree,
this is alternative to buy 35mm adapter...:)

great video! I wanted to get a d90 because of the hd video option, but i had to settle with getting a d60 for the time being. I love how you used the depth of field to personify many of the scenes. thanks for sharing!
  • amankerstudio 6 months ago
    thanks..:)
    the dof is great..:)

Nice vid! You really can see the effect of a low apperture. You are right, the D90 deffinately needs a tripod. If you make fast camera movements you get the effect like in my video: vimeo.com/4796443
  • amankerstudio 6 months ago
    yes, i saw it..
we should slow camera movements to minimize it :)

    Good, no yello at all.
The dog shot was pretty steady. (handheld?)

Now all we need is a story to tell with this type of imaging ;)
    Good work.
  • amankerstudio 6 months ago
    thanks.
yes, the dog is handheld..a little bit jello..:)
