The 660 foot deep artesian well that supplies water to the New Dungeness Light Station was 82 years old, rusted, and leaking. In September of 2012 a team of contractors and volunteers removed the old piping, inspected the well casings and installed a new above-ground well head. The water could not be shut off, so watch the video to see how they did it!
