I've just started my first garden this summer. I love fresh produce, it's cheap to grow your own and also a great hobby!

A first garden is like a first baby but after a few seasons.... well you just get used to it. The knave slaughted 17 snails and 9 slugs today as their natural preditors, the blackbirds and thrushes, are part of my hunting cats preoccupations. This year we hope for many herbs, peaches, grapes, apples, tomatoes and the goldfish are nearly ready.... Must make sure he's watered the Rocket.

Gardeners go to the top of my list as cool people...
