Sorry this took so long to upload - I recorded this friday afternoon, and wasn't able to edit it while in Kentucky like I'd hoped :P

But here it is - just an update on how I've been combing through the footage for the trip and making sense of it. It's a basic approach, but the baby-step process seems to be helping.

How hard, or easy, is it for you to edit everything by yourself from a creative storyteller's perspective? You undoubtedly spent the longest time dedicated to this project, but how helpful, or detrimental, would it be to let someone else chop your baby? Just curious.

Hey Zach :) That's a really good question actually - I wish I had more perspective when answering it... I'd love to have another editor look at the film, go over things with me, talk about where it's heading and what I still need to get there. But I've never been able to find someone, for whatever reason...

I know certain parts of the film would drive another editor crazy - they are just too... much of a feeling, I guess is how I would put it. There wouldn't be a constructive or clear way for me to say "can you help me cut x".

I know that when the rough edit is done - I'll be looking very hard for other editor's input... I'm way too close to the project personally to 100% trust my instinct and not take any feedback.
