On Tuesday 23rd October 2012, theatre-goers at the Noël Coward Theatre in London's West End were treated to a surprise 'guerrilla Shakespeare' performance.

A group of merry players known as the “Reclaim Shakespeare Company” took unexpectedly to the stage just before the second half of a BP-sponsored Royal Shakespeare Company performance of Much Ado About Nothing was due to begin, and performed a short Shakespeare-inspired anti-BP piece.

Security swiftly followed them up on stage - but a member of the RSC cast leapt to the actor-vists' defence and the playlet was allowed to continue.

This is the eighth such intervention by the Reclaim Shakespeare Company.
