I had some video, but nothing to go with it so I asked my husband Mark to write a story for the scene. This is it.

I will love this forever because I will always have the sound of my husbands voice telling me a great story.

hopefully some day i can get something that makes the audio sound more professional, but for now, this will do.

Michelle, I think this is the most beautiful thing you've ever created. Mark's a natural. The footage is serene and I like how it ends with the man and the dog. I will love this forever, too :)

thank you, wendy. mark is a good writer. he doesn't do it enough, but hopefully i can get him to write stuff for my video clips.

    wow.

    this is awesome sauce.

im not sure if i ever saw anything the both of you put together. his voice is great! and he can write! "but the mayfly gets 24hrs" clever! ooh and the part about wings and a mission, wow.

this is beautiful. reblog what what

i was actually just thinking about how more people's voices need to be captured. like how you keep some people's voicemails forever because there is something almost magic feeling in it. and you captured this well, my dear. high five*
  • loonachic plus 6 months ago
    thanks!

this is the first time mark and i have put something like this together.

mark is really talented. i keep begging him to write, but he is shy. i think i'm on to something here though because i asked him to watch the images and come up with story. within fifteen minutes he came up with this.

it felt so good to work with him in this way. it was like magic.

hopefully we can do it again. i enjoyed the process.
  • RunnerGirlJaneth 6 months ago
Isn't amazing what goes on in the mind of a "shy" person? I hope you are successful in bring more of this out of him. I loved it.

ooooo very nice - very much enjoyed this and thanks to Aussie Annie for sharing this. As for the audio - it didn't bother me too much because of the context... however if you want more perfection in the future the mic needs needs to be clean from the gecko-- by having an external mic (not always possible) or having the subject stand back/ away from the mic helps if internal is the only choice....but if you want to fix this try a filter from the audio side (you are now in Vegas ? ) to see if you can eliminate the PPPPPPs ... if you can output an AIF file send it to me I can try to engineer the sound for you and see if I can get rid of it....
  • loonachic plus 6 months ago
    Maria,

Thank you so much for the kind words. I always forget to share videos. I figure they would get found at some point or another.

i really would like to get a decent microphone or audio recording device. i love the way your videos sound. so crisp. i might need to consult with you some day! :-D

    HI Kalvin,

No. The man in the film is a person I met at the lake front here in Chicago. He sits and draws at the lake almost every day. Wonderful isn't it?

I'm still coming but the cubbies will need to make the post season for me to see a game. One of the guys that's coming has a family thing around the time we were planning the trip. I think we're pushing it back to some time in September. It's BS, but what're you gonna do.
