Between Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September 2012 at St Fagans, the National Museum of Wales, the Carpenter's Fellowship held its twelfth FRAME Convention. The weekend encompassed talks, workshops, an axe throwing competition and a medieval perrier water bomb competition. Also organised by the Oak Frame Training Forum, eight specialist timber frame apprentices worked on building a timber frame structure to house a cider press as part of their NVQ. Special apprenticeships of this kind have not been around for close to 200 years.
