Here is a music video that I made. So I teamed up with a group to make a music video of our own. Now we decided to make our video for "the Fighter" by "Gym Class Heroes." After that we went into basic story boarding, scouting, and developed a great shot list to get us started.
Then we went on to actually shooting where we spent close to a full week of filming. I was in charge of media assets and my job was to develop a basic organizational and naming structure. We had access to great equipment and filmed using 2 different cameras (Cannon T3i, GoPro Hero 2) and eventually got a telephoto lens (Cannon EF 100-400/mm).
We filmed at 9 different locations during 6 days with over 600 clips (over 3 hours worth of footage). After everything was properly organized and named, we transcoded all of the footage into a ProRes format (which works well with Final Cut Pro). Then we distributed the final clips to the whole group for final editing/compositing.
Now for composition and editing, each group member had to make there own video with the clips that were shot. I used both Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro 7 to create both the rough cuts and final render (applying some color correction and minor effects).
I got to work with great people in making this video and had both a fun and educational experience. Overall, I had a great time shooting and really enjoyed the production pipeline and process.
