Bought my first VU album when I was 14, cassette of course, on vacation with my parents in Santa Barbara...

I used to sit in the sun soaked backseat, headphones cocked and sweaty, dreaming of boys and adventure... this version reminds me of that.

I am amazed at the posts wherein those that state; the "original is better". Astonishing yet, still under appreciated = BECK. Not only is this version BETTER than the original, it now has suffered OWNAGE!

Beck, they mean well; they merely lack the intelligence required to understand and appreciate, not just the limitless talent that is you, but also; they have completely misinterpreted the reason and style choice in your performance of this piece.

For those of us that "get you"; this has become one of your recordings that make us dream of a life never ending. Thereby giving us even more time to be witness to your never stagnate and always creative endeavors.

Serious though; are you not dumbfounded at some comments posted? Could be they have no idea of Beck and think he is merely some guy with a Vimeo account and a lot of time on his hands! CRAZZZZZZY!

Beck is without question one of the most talented writers, lyricist and musical arrangers of our time. Maybe that is the problem; genius is often overlooked or misunderstood until far after the contributions of said genius are all that remain.

I feel so privileged to be alive today and able to listen and "watch" as this project rolls forward. I have yet to be let down. When I open my email and see that Vimeo update; I nearly tear the keyboard apart getting over here!
