C4Real presents to you, the Introduction Movie for Solar Team Twente solarteam.nl
We made this movie for the introduction of their brand spanking new Red Solar Car! The whole introduction revolves around the fact that the car is just plain Red, no sponsors on it, just Bright Red :) .
It was really cool seeing the car being designed and then built by the team. The technology behind this car is so amazing we made it a key part of the movie.
Some information about the film:
Produced by C4Real Netherlands c4real.eu
Sound Design by: m-works.nl
3D: Daniel Kunst, Daan Pol, Elmar Evers
Direction and Production: Ton Kuper, Daan Pol
We used a lot of computers to render this one. We rendered in 32-bit at 1920x1080. The original Porsche movie was rendered on one computer in 4 months, this only took a week on multiple machines. We are currently building a bigger renderfarm so we can do this kind of quality super fast.
The Hangar the car is standing in was built from HDR photographs, there is even a runway outside that you can only see in the reflections of the car! The idea behind the huge fan was to put emphasis on the aerodynamic and extremely sleek design. It also gives the reflections something to play with. The LaZ0rs are there to give the car the color Red transmitted through light.
We had a lot of fun working on this project since we got so much support and freedom from the team.
Good Luck in Australia later this year!

any chance you can share how you made the lasers light transfer through the car? Was it in c4d or post work?
