Going Down - Alternate Version from the Living Room Session
6 months ago
This is Louisville's and the South East USA's #1 band "Heaven Hill" live at Phoenix Hill in Louisville KY. Doing a Living room Session (unplugged), and as usual they rocked the house joining them was the new drummer Ivan Arnold!
PLEASE NOTE:
Our wide or safe camera was static, unmanned and on sticks. Unfortunately it was not realized until after the footage was captured that the old wodden plank floors in this old club carried every drum beat and bass line right into the camera lens.
I have tried several clean ups on the footage but nothing will take out the shake.
The performance was so good though I've tried to make an acceptable edit using the two roving cameras and a minimal amount of the static wide vibrating camera, so I could at least share this great performance. After a few seconds your mind kind of forgets about it, it's really just those first few frames.
This was shot with Mike Hargis (Fibro Twins) and my wife Debbie using two XH-A1's and an HV30.
Audio is a mix of our ZOOM H4N in 4 Track Mode and some mic'ed camreas brought into Vegas and mixed down. I was pleased with the outcome.
If anyone has some suggestion on other methods where on how I could clean up the shake in this video please pass it on. I have already tried Virtual Dub-Deshake and After Effects with little to no success.

But, as a professional I know it made you sick to your stomach to notice the floor picked up every drum beat. You cleaned up well and that's the important part! I'm glad you decided to upload it. Great footage!
Your right it did just make me sick!!!
Thanks for the encouragement and kind words and for watching! You rock!
Nothing to change here - love how it turned out - I second HaloTV :)
Congrats... it turned out really nice. =] Great editing. Nice colors too.
Nothing else to do though, cause the frames shaking are a "blurry mess".
How is that Vegas Pro 9? I use FCP. I started with AVID but that has such an "elitist" way of doing things. Is Vegas user friendly like FCP? The color, once again, is great.
Thanks for sharing your methods and all of that...its nice to see people who are willing to share with newcomers to this field. Because it is such an elitist field at times. Kudos to you.
And these dudes rock. Seriously. If they ever come to DC...I'm sooooo in the building.
