Great Demo reel. For what I can see your strongest points are modeling, material, textures and mechanical animation. The work related is very impressive. However I have an objection, for example character animation seems not to be one of your strongest points... the Mancandy animation may turn down the viewer. I might be wrong though, you probably have better animations to show. The girl you were posing was not in proper stage...the fingers were too up extended and elbow was too high. It look like you were filling the space, the final animation of the girl never showed up !, the viewer instinctively is looking forward the animation after the posing process. You have outstanding skills, don't let audience know you weak points.

@armando - This was a fairly specific application, not a 'regular' demo reel. I applied as a generalist, so the animation is in there mainly to show that I understand how animation in Blender works and I can help the specialist animators in the team when/if required. I explained in a fair amount of written detail (submitted alongside the video) what my strengths were and areas that I know I can improve.

Being a small team, I figured the more the selection panel honestly knew about each artist, the easier it would be to find a team that complimented each others skills.

Ohh Okay it makes sense what you say. It is a specific reel for the project, so judges can better evaluate everyone's skills. You are probably doing the right thing. Just my point of view from different angle. If something is not my strongest point I won't show it, creating the wonder leading to a possible interview. I think you will be selected for your knowledge of Blender and things you can do with it. Good Luck!
