Whatipu is one of my favourite spots around Auckland. An hour one-way drive from the centre and once you are there you can't imagine a million metropoly beyond the hills. It feels fairytale land like. Not that natural superlatives are waiting there, but the quite and subtle beauty feels very special. Enjoy these impressions.
