Nike enlisted REC to develop a video promoting the Nike Pro Combat System of Dress uniform. Boasting the most innovative technology to date, the Elite 51 embodies Nike’s revolutionary vision and cutting-edge design. Our video had to do the same.
Our challenge was to bring the uniform to life while showcasing the four main design features and staying true to Nike’s one-of-a-kind energy. We collaborated with talented artists to create a photo-real uniform, a 3D environment from scratch, and a suspense-driven explosion. Utilizing a remote render farm, we were able to harness massive render power to turnaround shots overnight and deliver a polished product in less than 6 weeks.
The end result: A full CG spot, showcasing the Elite 51 awaiting its epic game day reveal. Tight shots highlight the uniform’s every detail and clean graphics overlay to explain the new technology. The original soundtrack, an infusion of crowd cheers and a collegiate drumline, breathes life into the piece. Suspense builds and the shot widens, engaging the viewer until a final explosive moment.
