Come on, "heretic"? That's actually flattering to Mr Bouman. Throughout this interview, he's been stating the *obvious* - the mistakes of the celebrity architecture have literally been cast in stone for us to see. There has been such an obscene mal-allocation of resources from the real business of living of some 6 billion people towards the concrete materialization of egos in places like Dubai, most of their fantastical forms are without even the basic dignity of a sports trophy. Our cities are blighted by cartoons of architecture, our streets truncated by icons, our urban life languish from severe neglect.

It appears Mr Bouman, like the rest of the prestigious international architecture circles to which he belongs, have little to zero ideas about what to DO to remedy the Age of Atrocious Icons. "Unsolicited architecture"? "Sharing resources with musicians"? Grasping at straws??? For a start, try to live outside the incestuous circle and pay some attention to what some of the smaller architecture practices who shun the media circus are trying to do. Secondly, stop promoting unintelligible gibberish from "theorists" who are finally coming to the realization that the obfuscation and mystification they weave from esoteric scientific theories they barely understand cannot hide the nakedness of the Emperor. In other words, return to Architecture not just as an object but also a subject.
