Filmed, Edited and Experience Nov 3, 2012

This past Saturday we showcased Saly and Robert's Same Day Edit (SDE). SDE's are something we've been thinking about for sometime now and to actually sit back and experience it with our bride and groom makes all of those times we were editing into the wee hours of the morning worth it. Filming a wedding provides it own set of challenges and in my opinion is something that is rather difficult to do well. Now throw in a SDE into the mix and you've just cut your time in half to film and are forced to jump right into the edit. There really are no second chances at it... you have an anxious Bride and Groom who are busy enjoying their day looking forward to that moment when the big screen starts to replay everything that just happened. We finished cutting our footage and was about to start colour grading it when we caught word that the bridal party broke into Gangnam style on the dance floor. So with a few shifts in footage and a slight tweak to our Soundtrack selection (Years - by Alesso ft Koma) and we were uploading and cutting that footage into the end of our edit. We really can't describe the experience of producing a SDE, projecting it to an 8 X 10 screen and then the seeing the reaction from our couple while the entire day is being played out for them infront of their eyes..
