During The Great Bath Feast, Crumbs made its debut in live entertainment with Crumbs Kitchen Armoury. The evening affair – which took place at The Octagon in Milsom Place on 18 October, 2012 – kicked off with a gadget testing session, with Chris Staines from Allium Brasserie and Rebecca and Hannah from Cavendish Cooks putting kits through their paces, provided for the night by Bath’s ‘performance’ cookery shop, Kitchens.
A cook off challenge between four Bath artisan producers –Orchard Pig, The Bath Soft Cheese Company, The Bath Pig Company and The Thoughtful Bread Company – followed. Two competitors took to the stage a time, each to make a dish using four key ingredients: chorizo, cheese, cider and bread.
And the winner of the evening? Duncan Glendinning of The Thoughtful Bread Company!
