Since October 2008, a group of 19 children, ages 11-16 have been taking pictures documenting their families, neighborhoods and friends through a program called Listen to My Pictures. All of the students in the class are part of a NGO in Guadalajara, Mexico called CODENI (Children's Rights Collective) codeni.org.mx , and are all living or working in a street situation.
Class director Josh Meltzer, and several volunteers have met weekly with the kids for eight months to edit their images, talk about photography and improve their skills in documenting their lives.
