Nice job! I really enjoyed the whole film. Good choice in background music, nice lighting and soft effects, and great camera angles. I especially liked the side mirror one....which had some nice symbolism in there.
  •

I like the way you captured the distress and suspends of the situation.
A good film is where you feel the film.
You get drawn into the hopeless frustration of the film.
    good stuff.

It's never seems to amaze me how some directors and producers can do more in 20 mins. than some try to do (and typically fail) in over an hour.

Captivating cinematography, editing and story line.

So tense, so good, so sad, and so well done!!! I was captivated for the whole 22 minutes. However, the HD version has black screen and no sound, but the SD version looks really good.
  •
  • TahoeBlue 4 months ago
Well done indeed. Excellent interplay of scenes as permutations of dialog, action, starkly evocative sound, and dramatic tension. Stands on its own, no comparisons needed, but reminds me of the treatment of M. Night Shyamalan -- sort of a film noir version of "The Gift of the Magi" by O'Henry. The soundtrack very effectively conveyed the inner voice of a spirit realizing the depth of its quandry.
  •
  • AMAZING!
I loved how you cut back and forth from each event, to them thinking about it. Great cinema work and the actors were actually really good at keeping the suspense flowing; along with the production crew.
If you wrote this into a feature length indie film, I'm sure it would sell.

Yes! I saw a trailer for this film like years ago on DVinfo.net, and have been hoping to see this film in its totality ever since!!
So I'm glad you finally uploaded it! The story is great & the acting is very convincing, but I especially like your visual style in this one! I just love the colours, and the handheld camera-style! Everything works, and I was hooked through every second..
Nice job, and I hope to see more from you !

andrew,, this is extremely professional and one of the
best that I have seen this year! My wife and I have a

afloat. I'm sure something similar has happened, but is
this based to a true event and to what degree?

    (applause, applause, applause) :o)
Very nice work! You met the challenge of telling an emotionally complex story in 22 minutes. It took a moment for me to clue to the flashbacks but once I caught the hints it worked. Excellently well lit; very appropriate and affecting for the setting; high key without overexposure yet nice texture in the shadows. The music complimented the mood so well that I was almost unaware of it yet it seemed to come forward at exactly the right time.

The way you edited this carried me through the entire film scene by scene I was sucked into the story wanting to learn more about what was going to happen next. You did a great job editing this! I loved so many things about this film from the editing, acting and camera work. I really liked that shot where he's smoking a cigarette and you see his reflection in the rearview mirror and then the camera refocuses and the mirror is cracked. You told this story very well and it all came together beautifully. Great job, this was really inspiring!!
