Colour Chorus was recently asked to produce 14 short films for Museum Victoria and Education Services Australia. With the Introduction of the new Australian curriculum coming to Australian schools next year (2013) the films were to detail some of the resources that the Museum is making available to teachers and students.

We had an incredibly fun time 'going back to school', attaining access to a host of classrooms across the country ranging from prep students through to year 10. Much has changed since our school days and finding ourselves again in the classroom; albeit behind the camera, was an a very enjoyable, enlightening and positive experience. The use of a range of teaching methods and utilisation of modern devices now allows students to be able to connect to a subject or idea in a way that suits their style of learning.

This particular film was shot with a prep class of the mostly 4-5 year old age group. Priscilla of Museum Victoria gives these students an introduction to insects and bugs through the Little Science resource. Unknowing to the students, Priscilla also has some live bugs in the waiting...

This series of films was shot on the RED Scarlet and edited in Adobe Premiere.
