20. Kite Surfing - Florida

While celebrating Father's Day with my family, we decided to play tourist and visit Tarpon Springs, just 40 minutes away from us in the Tampa Bay area.
After enjoying the sponge docks we went for a drive around this quaint Greek village to enjoy the sights. We stumbled upon this secluded park called "Sunset Park" tucked away in a neighborhood where the Gulf of Mexico branches of into a river.
To my surprise I saw a large number of Kite Surfers. I just happened to bring my camera and captured these shots. I came back the next day without the family to get some more dramatic footage.
I've driven by another location with kite surfers on my way to shoot another job and I've always wanted to get these shots. I used to wind surf, but this surpasses that by a mile. Enjoy!
I used the Sony EX 1, Final Cut, and a small taste of Magic Bullet.
