Boudhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu, Nepal and as of 1979, Boudhanath was given UNESCO World Heritage Site status.
Many maroon clad Tibetan Buddhist monks & nuns can be seen walking around Boudha, especially at the Stupa. As a daily ritual, many people walk three or more times around the stupa while repeating the mantra 'Om Mani Padme Hum' either quietly or aloud.
This time-lapse was created using the excellent Magic Lantern (magiclantern.fm) custom firmware on a Canon 550D whilst having dinner overlooking the site :-) and the PP work was done in Final Cut Pro X.
