We timed our fishing trip on the river perfectly. The river was on the rise from several recent rains and the water was muddy. I consider the flathead catfish to be a very challenging game species to catch. It is one of nature's most dominant predators, a true hunter of the water. It will only feed on live bait which makes it some of the best tasting fish to eat. I hope you enjoy watching the vid as much as we did making it!!!

Hey bro, yeah the largest fish caught on the vid was 13 pounds, we caught three good fish a few nights before, but we did not have the camera for those. Bill did most of the filming, he hates fishing and opted to just film and have refreshments, lol.

Looks like a blast.
Some good river fishing up here right now,30+lb salmon being caught.
We get our limited entry hunting results next week;kinda like Christmas.

Amazing how different regs are from place to place.

Fishing like that in many parts of Canada would net you Jail time for poaching. We're not permitted live bait, or to place any fish from a waterbody into another waterbody. Single rod maximum. Looks like great fun - will have to look you up if we're ever down your way.
