Blizzok is a collection of seven Blizzokz. Each Blizzok is unique. Each Blizzok is useless. Together the Blizzokz can be arranged into a vast number of pieces of furniture. Blizzokz are made of MDF, nails, glue, and are finished with truck bed liner for maximum tumble-ability.
Blizzok demonstrates strategies for designing to engage a person’s creativity. By refraining to dictate final form or use, Blizzok leaves room for individuals to express their creativity. The uselessness of individual Blizzokz catalyzes creativity by incentivizing combination as a means to make a useful object. The uniqueness of individual Blizzokz ensures spontaneous and experimental combination as opposed to envisionment and execution as a means of creation.
Blizzok was created by Thomas Fagan for the 9th annual Vellum furniture show in San Luis Obispo, CA.
