Things are changing in myelofibrosis. One new drug is approved that experts say can significantly improve symptoms for many patients. And significant research is underway to see if other drugs can add to the hope of better management of the underlying condition and progressive scarring in the bone marrow. Dr. Brady Stein, a myelofibrosis specialist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, explains where we are now and where he hopes we are headed. The bottom line, as he explains, is he is encouraged for newly diagnosed patients that better days are ahead.
