For too many of us, eating represents trouble. We feel guilty if we eat what we ''shouldn't'' and deprived if we eat what we ''should.'' We eat more than we think we should, and we worry about weight. To do a good job with eating and with feeding our families, we must feel good about it.
o Describe the role of nutrition and physical activity in promoting wellness
o Distinguish sound nutrition and fitness principles from fad/trendy diet and workout myths
o Make informed choices about nutrition and exercise that will optimize personal health/wellness
o Recognize that being rigid and strict about eating styles and exercise habits is not a sustainable approach to health
