November was the 14th consequtive sold out CreativeMornings/Vancouver event with special guest Jeff Hamada from CMVan was honoured to partner with Mozilla to produce this FREE breakfast event with the support of ongoing co-hosts GDC/BC & W2 Media Café.

Jeff Hamada is a Japanese Canadian artist living and working in Vancouver. In 2008 he created which has become one of the largest art blogs on the Internet. He has created things for Native Shoes, Converse, Oakley, Endeavor Snowboards, Electronic Arts, and Livestock. Jeff is often hailed as a Vancouverite, but he was actually born in Japan, moving here when he was young. And he’s never once been stung by a bee. Jeff's hilarious pre-event interview is worth a read and can be found here:

A selection of notable comments by Jeff:
"Who brushed their teeth this morning?"
"When people tell they saw aliens, I don't discount the existence of aliens, but I think a lot of people have just encountered dumb teenagers."
"I'm really try to force myself to fail this year."
"I'm saying yes to public speaking gigs this year because I'm scared to death of them."
"I've really exercised that part of my brain that allows me to generate ideas."

The Vancouver chapter of CreativeMornings is run by Mark Busse (@MarkBusse) and his dedicated team of volunteers. Thanks to Ryan Mah (@Unisonpress), Mahyar Saeedi (@MahyarSaeedi), Jake Hermiston and Matthew Shettler for video production.

NOTE: CreativeMornings/Vancouver is entirely produced by unpaid volunteers, including the video production which is done on borrowed equipment which have recently suffered some technical issues and we need your help to purchase a new camera and laptop:
CreativeMornings is a monthly breakfast lecture series for creative types. Each event is free of charge, and includes a 20 minute talk, plus coffee! (
