ABOUT PROFESSIONAL BACHELOR DEGREES (the one that Sam in the video is pursuing)

> 3 to 4 years (180-240 ECTS)
> Degree from a University College or an Academy of Professional Higher education
> Aimed at specific professions
> Theory and practice in one programme
> Internships in Denmark or abroad
> Small class sizes and close contact between students and teachers

A Professional Bachelor’s degree is awarded after 3 to 4 years of study and qualifies you to enter a specific profession. In addition to attending lectures, you will participate in seminars, projects and group activities.

The programmes provide students with a solid theoretical knowledge and understanding of how to apply theory to practice. Internships, which can be undertaken either in Denmark or abroad, form an integral part of all programmes.

Professional Bachelor’s degrees are offered in a range of professionally oriented subject areas, such as teachers training and nursing as well as within technical and business-related subject areas such as engineering, software development and international marketing.

A Professional Bachelor’s degree gives you direct access to the labour market. Most programmes also give access to further studies at postgraduate level - usually to a specific Master’s programme within the subject area of the Professional Bachelor’s programme completed.
