Based on the success of the 2007 Max Open, The Kenwood Group came back to us for this years open. This year 3 designs had been made for the web, invitations, and other conference collateral by 3 of the top interactive shops: 2Advanced, Big Spaceship, and Blitz. EC was brought in to concept an animation that utilizes the look and feel of the existing assets and tells a fun story to open the conference. EC collaborated with these shops to get textures and assets which were used in our open. We designed a one minute open that moved through all 3 of landscapes and told the whimsical story of "Max" journey to the Adobe software totem and discovering its potential.
