A first year stop-motion animation I did for my multimedia course. The theme was commercialism, so I somehow ended up with a random hippie called Snowflake fighting his way through the last surviving assembly line towards "Emperor Ford" - side-scroller style.
I drew a lot of inspiration from Terry Gilliam's cut-out animations. I was also busy researching silent films at the time, hence the intertitles. Lastly, holding true to the hybridity of side-scroller & silent film, I made a quick chiptune-ish score using LMMS.
The main idea behind the animation was more about getting a hands-on feel for animating, as well as getting to know Premiere Pro & After Effects a bit better.
