Laval, place du 11 novembre : Inondation suite à l'orage du 25 juin 2009.

This thursday's hot sunny afternoon ended suddenly in an overwhelming flow of water when a thunderstorm took over the city causing a flood and a little panic amongst drivers and residents.

Hopefully i had the 5DmkII ready to capture some of these moments. Thanks to everyone involved.

I like it. I don't know the 5D, how do you do the time lapse with that camera?

using an intervalometer (timer remote) to take pictures every few seconds or just film straight video to be timestretched later in post.

Thanks. I assumed only built-in features could do that, such as the time lapse function of the EX1.

you can find cheap intervalometer for any reflex that has a remote via infra-red or plug.
search for 'timer' and your camera name on ebay where i got mine for about 35$ shipped.

For the 5D I am still trying to decide if I can buy it or not. I can stretch my budget for the camera but if I add the lenses it really becomes too much.

Pour avoir vécu à Laval jusqu'en Mai de cette année, j'avoue que le sujet m'a fait rire (même si en soit une inondation c'est pas des plus marrant)... Sujet mis a par, techniquement ta vidéo est impeccable, super travail de montage et très bon choix dans tes prises de vues. Tout les passages avec les mouvements de nuages sont tout bonnement magnifique. Vraiment du bon boulot, bravo à toi, tu es doué.

Merci, I thought for a second you were outside of Montreal Canada. There's a Laval there too. But the street signs on your video should have been in 2 languages and they weren't so I was a bit lost...
