Now if you were to have added subtitles with the names, ages, date of accidents and something a bit more personal to the visuals, it would have made this video artistically and commercially much more powerful.
However, as it stands it looks like any old Tom, Dick & Harry has got their first video camera for the first time and tried to be clever by selecting a dark subject. This with a lack of any research is pointless.
I do not wish to be rude to you but as you are a student at the school of media & communications at a University, you put yourself up for analysis.

First off good effect mate on a very hard subject.
I do agree with Rx's comments but at lest you had a go at it which is great :))
One thing I did notice with your photos is that they needed a bit of impact added to them, like the depth of colour and or contrast to make them stand out a bit more if you know what I'm trying to say badly ?? :)
Try using Photoshop to touch them up a bit. If you would like any help with that please don't hesitate to give me a yell mate :)))
I have often thought about doing something similar to this around here but for me it a bit too hard as a lot of them are people that I have known or friends of friends that I know :(((( being a small country town everyone knows every one around here.
