This is a meditation on the meaning of truth, and as to whether the human intellect can obtain it. Compiling various shots it follows a character as he ponders these things under an existential crushing weight that he feels upon his soul. This short is designed to follow the thought process; rather than follow a traditional story.

Inspired by the work of Terrence Malick, mainly the Tree of Life, and Chris Marker's San Soleil.

Shot at SFSU's library, Golden Gate Park, and Downtown SF at the Embarcadero.

It was shot on 16mm color film on two different Bolex camera's.

Thanks to Chris Diaz for helping me film some of the scenes.

It was shot for Cine 310 at SF State.

The religious chants came from Sound Miner, as well as all the sound effects. Sound Miner was donated to SF State giving students sound effects and a few songs for royalty free use.
