Music of Hope is a documentary about Sacramento Youth Symphony conductor, Michael Neumann. Michael's grandparents were killed in the Holocaust, and in 2005 he created a symphony performance to honor their memory. While preparing for the concert Michael is forced to confront the deeply emotional issues from his families past that have troubled him throughout his life; the result became an incrediblly moving and inspirational experience for Michael, the young musicians and the entire Sacramento community. The program was produced by Bryan Shadden for the PBS station KVIE in Sacramento, CA
