This is a short film i made for a project focussing on Marilyn Monroe's later years, when she was deeply uncomfortable with her own celebrity.

I used my M42 Pentax SMC Takumar 135mm lens for this as it gave a great close-up on my crop-sensor Canon 60D camera, and gave me the 60s-journalism look i was going for.

I also changed my profile settings to super-flat / cinestyle and shot at a shutter speed of 30fps for as filmic a look as possible.

A massive, MASSIVE thanks to Kate Neary for organising the whole day - which included Mariam's incredible make-up session and a visit to Beyond Retro for wardrobe.

And a special shout to our very own 'Marilyn' - Steph - who took to the whole thing so easily. Apparently this was her 1st time in front of camera, which is something i'm still struggling to accept…
