For the third time this week the new fire alarm has went off.
No fire.. just some dust.

What type of system did you install at your facility? If there is dust and drilling, why doesn't your fire alarm servicer disarm those specific devices in the garage so it won't trigger the system? The fire alarm seems to be doing it's job just fine. Let me know if you need assistance with this. I'm in California, but this is nothing a phone call and some communication can fix...

Hey there. It's more of a stupid resident problem than anything else. (although this particular false alarm was triggered by many jack hammers working in the garage area) Most of the time it's people forgetting that they put something on the stove, it burns and smokes up their apartment. Then (this is the dumb part) they open their door to let the smoke out into the hallway where it triggers the main alarm.
Once management starting fining people $500 dollars for their stupidity in opening the doors instead of airing out the smokey apartment by opening their windows (and after countless notices and warnings) the incidences have stopped. (knock on wood)
