A little test, sellotaping the iPhone to the rear view mirror to record the more scenic half of my journey to the office (Webble Mill)

Pretty good quality, just a wee bit of that sensor rippling thing going on.

The fish on the car means the owner is a christian.

I love the commentary, Jon. And it really is a beautiful place.

Cool! Thanks for sharing this, now I think I must upgrade to a 3Gs simply for the video capability.

I was talking to that cyclist you pass, Mr Clayson, about moving from the big smoke to the countryside at @media last week, and I can tell from this video he wasn't exaggerating in the least. It's beautiful, and I'm even more tempted now. Nice video Jon!

Brilliant! Commentry is awesome. I do this journey on the morning too! It is good fun!

The question that needs to be asked is why you park your car half way to Webble Mill? Why not drive the whole distance?

Nice to see you didn't break for that Merc either.

*I am watching this with the sound off so if these points are covered in the commentary I reserve the right to be an idiot.

So the next Rissington cast will be a vodcast with John running in front of the car?
  •
  • Rick Curran 2 years ago
Yep, maybe you should do the podcast whilst driving? ;)

Wow, your drive to work is much more gorgeous than mine is. Then again, if I walk to work, I go through Harvard Yard.

Nicely done. I'm surprised how well the video produced by the iPhone came out considering the bumpiness of the road.

Brilliant Jon. I think we'll be enjoying many podcasts recorded in this fashion. Ultimate multi-tasking enabler for the busy podcaster. Too funny. "This is a horse with a person on top..."

Wow, I could listen to you talk all day. I don't even care what it's about.

Exactly Rick. Jon. Get the jump on @boagworld and start recording your podcasts in the car. LOL

Love it Jon very funny + homesick now as you're not a million miles away from my folks in Hindon, Wilts. Same Cotswold stone and vibe, really miss it. *sniff Promised myself I will set up shop back home by next year, fingers crossed.

So, what do you do at Webble Mills? I didn't even know webbles could be milled. Actually I didn't know what a webble was. Still don't.

So much more explanation needed. ;-)
