I'm impressed with the smooth shots you got with such a small device and the great editing. It helps too that your song is good. Nice work all around.

    Just goes to show,
Sometimes if you buy the biggest and best reel, it doesnt mean that you will catch the biggest & best fish.....

    Moral of the story........................

    Whats next?
Shoot a video with web cam?
If you can get a long enough usb cable.....

This was a real eye opener. I haven't played much with the video on mine yet. Still too busy learning how to work my 5D2.

Any chance of a download version so we can put it on our iPhones and play the "Hey, you'll never guess what this was shot on" game

Im curious about the color, it looks really good. Is the clean off the camera? or did you take it into Color or FCP 3-Way? What was it like working with the footage? Did you have to convert it to a more editable codec like 5D footage?

  • Kenny Mosher plus 5 months ago
To be honest I didn't do much color correction. Mainly bring highlights down to below 100 and shadows to 0. Footage was a breeze. Converted it to NTSC SD with MPEG Streamclip and it worked fine in the timeline. The files are really tiny, which I am not used to with my HD cams.

I love it !, gosh technology has come a long way, I was trying to think of the size of the device if say this was done in the 80's and it would have been huge ! A cherry on top would have been the sounds of the bike in the first shot or two as the music is still fading in.
You gotta make a short film on the iphone with sync sound and a Zoom H4n or something. haha, that would be awesome. Well done guys.

Nice! Well done! You must of had a heck of a time with the autofocus and autoexposure though eh?

And glad you made a shoutout for mpeg streamclip - best free software ever created.

btw BJSR sounds quite a bit like Alexi Murdoch; oh, and that's a complement :)

way to go. I'm also a "mobile" filmmaker (use a Flip HD) and it's nice to see other people doing great things with these devices.

Great song, great video. Just goes to show that a talented photographer/cinematographer can use the simplest device and still make a great video nonetheless.
